Commemorative Roll of Honour
They shall grow not old,
Each year The Scots at War Programme receives hundreds of enquiries and requests for information concerning men and women who served their country.
We believe that you would wish to have their names recorded for others to see worldwide. We invite you therefore to contribute to this Roll of Honour by adding the name of a friend, relative, loved one, somebody that you know, have researched or that you feel should be included. You may like to add your own name if you qualify.
The concept of Scots at War is taken in its broadest sense. Serving in a Scottish or Commonwealth Scottish Regiment, a Scottish named ship or Scottish Squadron, serving in Scotland, or in Scottish waters, in the services or as a civilian, being Scots or having Scottish ancestry all qualifies your candidate.
The list is intended to include men and women who served in the armed and civilian services, those who lived and those who died. The names of those of any race, colour, creed, religion or status may be added. We would emphasise that Scots at War is a 20th and 21st Century Project and this roll is intended to cover the same period.
The Roll is organised on a simple A-Z index based on surname.
To do justice to the person that you have chosen we would ask you to add a few personal details if you have them.
